You’ve Got Jackson Galaxy

Jackson recorded this great video for AOL and www.5min.com. You’ve got…the mind of the feline.

We regret that Jackson does not answer questions posted in the comments. This is due to his demanding schedule and the high volume of requests he receives. But most importantly, since he has not met your cat, it would be contrary to his approach for him to give specific personalized advice for your specific situation. That being said, general questions and issues are addressed throughout this blog, in his book CAT DADDY and of course, the show My Cat From Hell.

We took our 3 cats to the vet on 2/1. Problems with eyes and sneezing. When we got home 2 of them turned against one. The have always been best buddies. Why has this happened? What do we do?

    Thant you,
    Janice

Janice this happens quite often due to the different smells from the vets of other animals. Smells to cats are the identification of the animal. I notice this after them being spay/neutered also.

A quick solution that I have tried is to use a flavoring extract like vanilla and put on your palms and rub on the back fur of the animals. What this does is make all of them smell the same as it is a strong scent.
Also the SPIRIT ESSENSE that Jackson promotes is also very good but try the vanilla or almond( might work also as strong also) first. The Spirit Essense is good but expensive.

      Good Luck

Absolutely true, true message. We need to get our communities involved in funding, volunteering etc to help get the cat population under control. People look at them as a problem but don’t realize that people are the problem not the cats and with communities, states etc in dire need of funds we have to come up with a solution to enforce the getting your pets spay/neutered. REMEMBER we DOMESTICATED these animals to be part of our lives and we are the ones responsible for this problem.

SPAY NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS and look for low cost spay/neuter clinics in you area.
I’m in R.I. and we have a clinic in Warwick, R.I. that cost $65.00 which gets you shots, spay/neutering, flea meds and picks up at local shelters in the R.I. area.
Can it get better than that!!!!!

My husband and I adopted a year old cat from our shelter April of last year. All was well until she suddenly started urinating on the bed. I had the vet check her her out and she’s fine. He said it’s behavioral, not medical. I tried a product called Feli-way to no avail. Now she is starting to occasionally poop on the bed as well. Luckily, I have started covering the bed with potty pads used for house training so I am not having to totally change the bed several times a day. We would NEVER consider giving her back the the shelter.
    Any words of wisdom?
Thank you and Stella thanks you!

    HI Jackson!

I really admire you and love your show so much!!!!
I have issue with one of my cats, he just stopped using litter box and start pee next to the litter box or in our entering hallway. Sometimes I just feel I cannot clean his poop/ pee any more! Our other cat is using litter box normaly! We have 3 litter boxes in there bathroom, one is with diferent litter, just in case he doesn’t like the litter we are using, but it seems that is not the problem!
They are brothers, adopted in April, now 6 months old, neutered, microchipped, fully vacs.

    Can you PLEASE help me!
    Thanks alot!

    Love,

    Melisa
