CAT DADDY: Book Tour Details

Must-know info on your book-signing visit with Jackson

Here’s a bunch of info for those of you planning to attend one of the stops on Jackson’s upcoming Book Tour.  We want you to have a cat-tastic time, and this info will definitely help you and everyone have a great time!

For all the CAT DADDY Book Tour Dates, see this post.

Please, no cat consultations at the book-signings.
Due to time constraints at the book events, Jackson will not be able to answer cat consultation questions during the Q&A portion or when autographing books. Consultations require focused lengths of time well beyond the scope of a book-signing. So out of consideration for other attendees as well as the bookstore’s staff, who don’t want to work overtime, please do not ask consultation-related questions. (Instead, see this post on his blog: Ways Jackson Can Help When He Can’t Be There to Help)

Please, no pre-purchased books.
In order to respect and support the independent book stores that are hosting these appearances for all of us, please do not bring pre-purchased books to be signed.

Free “Who’s Your Cat Daddy?” Tote Bags
Each store in the book tour will have a limited supply of “Who’s Your Cat Daddy” tote bags to give away at their event.  How do you get one?  Purchase two or more copies of CAT DADDYand purchase early!  Like we said, these are in limited supply and when they run out, they run out.

Book-signings benefit homeless cats!
For every sale at book-signing events, Tarcher/Penguin is donating $1.00 to the cause of saving homeless cats! That means that by attending, you can…

  1. purchase your book at the store hosting the event
  2. get that book signed to you (and your pet) by Jackson AND
  3. your purchase will help save homeless cats!

Charities that benefit:
Best Friends Animal Society
Stray Cat Alliance
Neighborhood Cats

(As you may know, for every copy of CAT DADDY pre-ordered before May 10, Tarcher/Penguin is donating $1.00 to the same cause as well. To make any preorders count, simply e-mail your receipt (or a photo/scan of your receipt) to:

I would love to get help with my Tazey and a my Patches the young kitty. They are alweays fighting everday And there was blood drew on Tazey’s nose and Patches got bitten on the leg. I wish the fighting would stop

Hi there, Laurie_ please give this article a read- this is a slow introduction process that Jackson has mentioned.. we use it all the time, and it is never too late to begin- just have to be strong and start fresh!
Please read it, – we used to give it out at the pound to new adoptors and it cut down our returns greatly. Good luck!

Patches use to get along with Tazey when she was a baby kitten , Know she three years old and he Tazey is 13. They can’t be in the same part of the house togeather because of the fights and Tazey’s marking the backroom’s floor with piles of pop

Jackson I love your show and wanted to let you know that you have inspired my sister and I to volunteer with a local animal shelter and I am in the process of getting educated to become a vet tech. Everything I have learned on your show has helped me with understanding and taking care of a feral cat colony as well as my own kitties. I can’t wait to get your book and would love to meet you one day and thank you personally. Pleeeeeaaase consider adding to your tour Long Island, NY (if possible) or even Manhattan (You’re worth the train ride lol).
Keep up the good work and I look forward seeing your new season of MY Cat From Hell. Thank you again for being such an inspiration. All my respect, Lisa

Hi there,Cat Depot is the most unique no kill center for cats.
They rescue, adopt, educate people, and have cats fostered out to volunteers for socializing. This helps increase the amount of adoptions.

My Two black babies were feral cats and they are the most lovable pets due to foster parenting.

The facility was specially built for the cats health and comfort with 20 or more Vets volunteering their time in the hospital on site.

    Please come to Sarasota, Florida.
We are a strong community devoted to charities and Cat Depot is always the winner in local competitions.

We regret that Jackson does not answer questions posted in the comments. This is due to his demanding schedule and the high volume of requests he receives. But most importantly, since he has not met your cat, it would be contrary to his approach for him to give specific personalized advice for your specific situation. That being said, general questions and issues are addressed throughout this blog, in his book Cat Daddy and of course, the show My Cat From Hell.
