We know not all of you can get to a Book Tour event.
Like, what if you live in Florida, or Texas, or Canada, or…?

Well, we want this time to be a fun, exciting, cat-community experience for you, too!

So with this contest, submit your entries to the official email address of course….

But then, feel free to post your photos and whatever comments and discussion you want (reactions to the book, stories of your cats, etc.) on Jackson’s Facebook page, where everyone can share in the fun of what we hope to be a festive Online Book Tour, of sorts.

Best of luck in the contest!

Peace, Love, Light, and Cat Mojo.

I guess I will have to buy this book. You have already done so much to help my cat from hell. My girls now have their very own 12 x 30 play room with towers, big bushy plants and all kinds of toys. It is a screened in porch where they can see out of and it has a kitty door so they can come in and out of the house anytime they want to. I want to put up more things on the wall for them to climb on.

Shoot, I guess there’s no way of entering without a receipt? I purchased when first came out and never thought to keep the receipt. Oh, and I can’t use cc, I thought of that, because I just paid cash since that was my only purchase that day.

  13. Chelles Yvonne   May 14, 2012 at 9:17 pm

    Fabulous contest!

What if my kitties don’t want to have their picture taken with me?

OK, the “real” scenario is that I have tons of kitty pics, but none with me included in them. I would prefer to keep it that way as the only thing I would hate more than having my picture taken, would be having my picture taken then posted on the internet! So the question would be whether or not I could still enter.

  14. Me   May 17, 2012 at 10:20 am

Just to let you know, it is illegal to require a purchase in order to enter a contest. Legally, you are required to allow people to enter who haven’t purchased a book (i.e., No Purchase Required – alternate registration site that you only have to mention once in the fine print). I’ve purchased a book and I love your show and what you put out! I just don’t want you to get in trouble by some big shot dickhead attorney.

    1. Team Cat Mojo   May 18, 2012 at 9:21 am

Hey thanks for looking out for us! We totally appreciate the love! The book publisher alerted us to this very issue, which is why we are requiring a photo as well and Jackson is judging the entries. If it were a sweepstakes or a random drawing type of thing, it’d be illegal to require the purchase to enter. But it’s a contest with a judge (The Cat Daddy!) so we should all be good. We’ll definitely keep in mind the alternate registration site idea — that might be a cool thing to do in the future. Thanks so much for the support and good vibes! Have a great day full of Love, Light, and Cat Mojo.

  16. Erin L.   May 19, 2012 at 12:20 am

I am not computer saavy and don’t know how I will will send a “reciept” via e-mail. I guess I will figure it out.

  17. Faith   May 19, 2012 at 4:38 pm

Okay….maybe this is a dumb question…no one else has asked….but how are you supposed to email in a receipt?? Do you mean email a photo of the receipt?

  18. Tiffany   May 22, 2012 at 12:12 pm

Yes. You can take a photo of the receipt and attach it to the e-mail or copy and paste it into the e-mail. You can also scan the receipt and attach it to e-mail or copy and paste the scanner image. If you received a receipt by e-mail, you can also forward the e-mail you received from the bookstore and send it to the e-mail mentioned above. Hope this helps you out.

  19. Tiffany   May 22, 2012 at 12:15 pm

By the way Jackson, I would love it if you came to Kansas City, MO or St. Louis, MO so I could get a picture with you. Absolutely love all that you do and your book is great.

  20. Genia   May 23, 2012 at 4:52 am

Is it possible, would you please post a list of the items included in the prize?

    Thank you

I wanted to end you an e-mail, and this is the only place I couod find to do this. So here i is – it is rather long, and I love your show. I nee d help, probably fomr one of your books your recommend, and I will be reading here in the future now that ai hae found it, but – here is the “letter: I wrote, should you have time to read it. And yes, it is pretty long.

    Hello –
I have just discovered your website, after visiting your FB page. I have watched a lot of My Cat from Hell, and loved it, and have wanted for long to contact you, and now have found a way. I have not gone to your website yet, but will do so once I have written this, and intend to sign up for your e-mail list. I am looking forward to gaining some help from you site for correcting some bad habits of my cat, Tashi.
There are reasons for the bad habits which I will talk about here, but I have been unsuccessful in altering them, and as I age, find it more and more difficult to do so. Tashi does not use her cat boxes – she has 2 – 1 downstairs and one upstairs. I will describe the progression, so that you have knowledge of what has occurred. She is a very sweet kitty, with some special needs, (one being that she is “a scaredy cat”and sort of for good reason) but this behavior is costing me friends and family, because of the smell in the house, and I do understand their problem. I have thought of giving Tashi to a shelter, as I do not know that anyone would want to adopt her, but I really love her a lot, and I know she is bonded with me, as well. I have been told by an animal communicator that she “says” – she is my companion, and she is, indeed!. Anyway —
I have known Tashi since she was a kitten, about 6 weeks old. She live with my teacher/mentor/ friend, who is an instructor of a Asian acupressure method, which I studied. When Deb needed to relocate, she chose to move to be near her family – It was a good move for her, but she had 2 cats, and could take only 1. She put out an e-mail looking for a home for Tashi. I thought long and hard, as I am an older woman, with physical, and financial problems of my own, but I have loved Tashi “forever” – when I would go to Deb’s house, I was always greeted at the door by this wonderful little gray kitty. Deb chose to take her older cat, a decision I certainly agreed with, and decided I would take Tashi, who was, at the time, 7 years old. Since Deb lived in a rather small apartment, and I in a good bit larger house, Deb and I talked about how we could make the transition not so scary for Tashi, and agreed upon a system in which I could close off 2 rooms, living and dining, which would give her good space to explore, but not so much that would frighten her. Her boxes (2) would be in the dining room, and feeding area in the same room, but a different location. Things went well for a while, however, I was, at the time, embarking upon a business venture which involved having interested parties come to my house to hear about the opportunity. I felt that under the circumstances, having cat boxes in an area they would be using would not be a good idea, so they had to move. Across the hall, was a room I could sue, and shut off, until Tashi was accustomed to it. I could feed her there as well, It was not a large room, but not too small, either, and we felt she could be comfortable there while retraining. I spent time with her every day. Of course, she wanted “out”, but I was able to keep her there fairly easily. After about 2 weeks, I let her out, not confining her to the 2 rooms, and she did use her boxes sill in the room where she had been living, but started peeing and or pooping on the rug in the hallway.
Explanation. There is the living room and dining room, the kitchen off the dining room, and from the living room, long hallway to the end of the house, where there was a bathroom. It was this hall that she used. I heard from a friend about an animal communicator that she had contact when having some problems with a cat of hers, and I got in contact with her. It turned out that there were 2 problems.

First – When Deb was away, teaching, another person would feed the cats. This person came in a different door, and left by the same. Deb and I figured that Tashi, being the curious youngster she was, had followed the feeder out the kitchen door, wondering – and he had inadvertently closed the door on her, injuring her in the side. This had never been known until this time, although both deb and I had discovered that when petting that side, she didn’t like it, but what had happened had never occurred to either of us, and only came to light upon the “reading” of the communicator. Tashi also indicated that he had not intended to hurt her, but that one result was that now, she did not like men.
One of my gransdsons lives in my house – he occupies the room next to the one where Tashi had been living during retraining, and evidently, her use of the hallway just outside the living room was a message of dislike for him, and an indication that he did not belong – he was “not family”. In talking with Jackie, we explained that he is family, the son of my son, but it has not made a difference. She requested that a box be put upstairs, in the “territory where I live, and that was done, and she also wanted the other box where it had been in the dining room, which was also done – by this time, I had stopped having the meetings, and felt family and friends could cope. Most can, some cannot as it turns out, but although I have cleaned rugs professionally, and have laid sown plastic – eventually, with the “nubbing” on top, discouraging her from walking on it and using it – there are more details, but I am sure you get the idea. – Now she has moved her “spot” to the other side of the hall, and down further – I am at my wits end. At the end of next year, I am planning on moving to a retirement community, and I am concerned about taking her, as I do not trust that she will use her boxes, and it is totally unacceptable for her to not use them there. I have tried changing the litter she did not like, and will do so again, as I think she does not like what I am now using, but money right now is a very very difficult issue with me, and I have not been able to feed her plus keep buying different litter, so it has gotten really out of hand, and now she does not use her boxes at all! Thankfully, she has never used any of the rugs upstairs. I cannot put he boxes in the downstairs bathroom, s it is the one used almost exclusively by my grandson.
I will go to your website, to post this, and to start seeing what I can learn there. If you are able to respond, or offer suggestions, I welcome them, and must caution that at this point , my finances are a mess, although it is getting better, since I have enlisted my daughter in assisting me to get through my tangled finances, but it will take a while, and I am at this point very very limited in funds to spend, and I know you must charge for your services, and that is fine – I will find what I can, and any recommendations will be appreciated. I really don’t want to give Tashi up! (She is now 10 years old, and starting to get a little lighter gray around the muzzle. )
    Thank you for listening
    Eleanor R (Teddy) Clark

We regret that Jackson does not answer questions posted in the comments. This is due to his demanding schedule and the high volume of requests he receives. But most importantly, since he has not met your cat, it would be contrary to his approach for him to give specific personalized advice for your specific situation. That being said, general questions and issues are addressed throughout this blog, in his book Cat Daddy and of course, the show My Cat From Hell.
