We regret that Jackson does not answer questions posted in the comments. This is due to his demanding schedule and the high volume of requests he receives. But most importantly, since he has not met your cat, it would be contrary to his approach for him to give specific personalized advice for your specific situation. That being said, general questions and issues are addressed throughout this blog, in his book CAT DADDY and of course, the show My Cat From Hell.

Please help! What are some effective ways to keep a neighborhood outdoor cat from sitting outside my windows and upsetting my indoor cat? I have been using an outdoor cat repellent which seems to help a little, but I’m wishing I had a BB gun! Not for the outdoor cat! For his owner!

EJ – I read somewhere that using a spray on deorderant on the outside of your windows will repel cats.
      Good luck!

Ground White pepper on the window sills – it will only make the cat sneeze and causes no harm.

I would like to see some cat toys that would really hold up to a frisky cat. We have 6 cats and they all get along great except for 2 but I am working on that and I watch your show consistently to try and pick up tips and tricks. I would love to see you put together and sell some toys to help with comforting cats that have issues and that would actually hold up and not break within the first few minutes of play. I notice the one toy you use quite a bit with the stick and the feather but anytime I have purchased similar ones they are torn apart in not time and then you have to be careful that the cat does not swallow a piece of the broken toy. Please come up with something that will last and I will be the first to buy many. I love your show and I think you are amazing…thank you for all you do…from one cat lover to another…you rock.

I would like to see a show on cats and dogs getting along in the same household. We have a 4yr. old Scottish Fold named Maggie. She is an amazing cat and has been our only pet until recently.
Three months ago my husband and I adopted a 3mo. old Yorkie, Charlie. Charlie has made Maggie’s life a living hell, chasing her, growling at her but also wanting to play. Charlie has been such a challenge that for the last 3 weeks she’s been at puppy boot camp. Maggie is back to enjoying being our only pet again but Charlie comes home next week! I saw you on the Jeff Prost show and you rock! Is there help for our Maggie?

I have a female Maine Coon named WillowBean she is the best cat as she is so gentle. However there are a couple of problems. The first one is she is very leery of men. I would like her to feel comfortable around them she has not attacked any of the males but she ignores or cowers if I am holding her. The biggest problem I have is Willow will attack any dog that comes near. It is mostly hissing and swatting. I am concerned as my neighbors have a dog that has a bite history. Any suggestions on how to solve any of these problems.

us your ways and giftts that we may aspire to be good Cat parents. xoxoxo

My cat has an unusual quirk. She’s a 13 year old naughty torty who has an addiction to spiderwebs. She will lick them off the side of the house or anywhere else she sees them. No one at my local vet has ever seen this before. Anyone have any ideas why she may need this additive to her diet???
