Jackson at a FREE Event in Austin on Nov. 2, 2013

Cats Uncaged Tour AUSTIN

Hey Austin!  Jackson has been filming new episodes of My Cat From Hell in your fair city, and he’ll be back in November — this time, to talk with you!

What’s Going On in Austin?

This event is a double-header combo open to the public and absolutely FREE.  Cats R Cool and One Picture Saves a Life, presented by The Animal Rescue Site, features Jackson Galaxy of Animal Planet’s hit T.V. show My Cat From Hell and photographer Seth Casteel of Underwater Dogs (the best-selling photography book of 2012).

There will be some extra special VIP stuff going down, too, just for staff and volunteers with shelters and rescue groups.  Scroll down for all the info and the link to the application for shelters.

What’s Jackson Doing There?

This event will mark Jackson’s second “Cats Uncaged Tour” date (the first was in Seattle on Aug. 10), where he shares his visionary insights about how to proactively enrich the environments of shelter cats to increase adoptions, and help see every cat ‘uncaged.’

Award winning photographer Seth Casteel will teach the basics of photographing pets to improve the image of rescue and adoption, and in turn, get more animals into forever homes.

And of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without:

  • adoptions on site
  • food
  • fun
  • prizes

Has Jackson really been in Austin??? I have several cats with two big problem cats and I had abandoned hope that Jackson could ever give me any ideas/solutions, etc. for their behavior. Is he still filming? How can we be advised as to when and where he will be and how does that sort of “audition” process work?

I want to let Jackson know about my lost cat recovery services.

As the only Pet Detective in Austin, part of my goal is to help cut down the number of “strays” who end up at shelters with behavior problems.

I also offer a lost Cat Search Guide for people in other cities with lost cats. If only people knew the RIGHT way to search for a missing cat, many might not end up shelters

I’m hoping Jackson can help get the word out that there IS a real Cat Detective with the tools and know-how to get lost cats back home.

I’ve gotten extremely good at tracking lost cats–found 4 in the last 5 days.

This month, I’ve helped 18 people find a missing cat. About 8 were in-person searches, and the others were with my book + email coaching for people in cities ad countries around the world.

    I love what I do!

Thank you for your help in all feline endeavors,

    Kim Freeman

I love your book Jackson. I can relate to a lot of your problems you had with your life. I’m down and out now myself and feeling suicidal. I hope I can beat this. I’m sure Jackson won’t ever read this but thanks for writing the book.

I am in desperate need of Jackson’s help. I took in a cat from a family that was leaving their home and could not take the cat with them. I already have a cat and a guide dog, I am visually impaired. I am afraid my cat will hurt the new cat even though it seems the new cat goes back for more abuse, it/s complicated. The other major problem is he will pee on my bed. I have bought no pee sprays and plug-ins for the outlets but nothing stops him. He has been to the vet at least 5 times since I have had him. I love him so much, he is so affectionate and loving. It would break my heart to have to give him up but my fiancé is running out of patience. I need some advice about what to do before it’s too late.

    Ola, Jackson!

Obrigado.

I live in Birmingham, Alabama and would appreciate, so much, Jackson Galaxy coming to our home and helping us to correct a couple of issues with our five cats. We had the mama cat who then had a litter of five kittens. We were able to give away the female to a teacher, and her family, we knew would love and take care of her which they have. Unfortunately we were unable to find loving owners for the four boys so we kept them. Well, the biggest one of the litter and the smallest one can’t stand each other and, of course, we have to keep them separated. The others get along fine. One of the boys started spraying about eight months ago (we don’t know why) and now had to start giving him medication which just kills me. I don’t know what we would do without. They are all so precious and love their different personalities, but it sure would make for a more comfortable home environment if we could resolve these two issues. Please let me know if Jackson could make a visit to our home. It would be greatly appreciated by my husband and I as well as our five cuties; Baby Girl, Blaze, Rascal, Bandit, Tiger!

We regret that Jackson does not answer questions posted in the comments. This is due to his demanding schedule and the high volume of requests he receives. But most importantly, since he has not met your cat, it would be contrary to his approach for him to give specific personalized advice for your specific situation. That being said, general questions and issues are addressed throughout this blog, in his book Cat Daddy and of course, the show My Cat From Hell.
