My Cat From Hell: a case of Over Protecting Territory - Mufasa & Roscoe

This blog post gives you an inside look at how Jackson uses the holistic solutions he formulated with Holistic Veterinarian Dr. Jean Hofve over a decade ago.  This is how Jackson helps the cats (and their guardians!) you see on the camera.

Spirit Essences are not essential oils.  They are holistic formulas, and the only veterinarian-formulated line of its kind in the world. Jackson has developed and refined the solutions based on his over 15 years of experience and the needs of his clients.  They have been extremely successful, even in very difficult situations.  For more info, check out

Mufasa, a female Norwegian Forest Cat

Issue: Mufasa displayed aggression in the form of biting and scratching his guardians Rudy & Andrea.  She would climb on top of their fridge, making it a frightening experience for Andrea to just get a snack!  She prowled around their studio apartment, even teaching herself to climb the ladder to their loft bed, attacking human hands and hair and faces.

Jackson says: Mufasa was a territorial over-protector.  She was over-guarding her territory to the point where she was pushing everyone around.  So now here's the thing: normally for territorial insecurity, which seems to be at the root of things like this, we would use Safe Space for Cats.  But in this case, because she was actually seeking out trouble,  saying, 'Well this might happen…let's make sure it doesn't….'  I think it was important to give her Bully Solution.  Bully Solution helps the animal to allow the social dynamic to unfold, instead of automatically to rushing to head things off at the pass.

Roscoe the rambunctious

Issue: Roscoe was adopted from an animal shelter by Danielle.  When Ruben, her boyfriend, came into the picture, things started getting really tense.  Roscoe walked on kitchen counters and Ruben was a chef who hated that.  Roscoe took Ruben's seat on the couch, his place on the bed, and knocked his stuff off shelves all around the apartment.  (There was even another issue that wasn't shown on T.V., a post on that is coming later today.)

Jackson says: Roscoe just got Hyper Helper, cause he was just a young boy - a very normal cat!  There wasn't anything "wrong" with Roscoe, nothing that needed to be "worked on."  He just needed his energy taken care of.  A very young cat, very inquisitive, and he was just knocking stuff around and trying to play with stuff that wasn't there to play with.  There was only that creepy doll.  But as soon as he had the proper toys and places to go to, he stopped doing all those overly rambunctious, overly disruptive things.
