Spirit Essences Report: attacking humans and each other

SE More on Ep 8 Lucy, Chubs This is part of a blog series called the Spirit Essences Report.  It contains off-camera info straight from Jackson about how he helps the cats you see on My Cat From Hell.  Many times behind-the-scenes, he has his clients use Spirit Essences holistic remedies.  They are the same remedies he formulated with Holistic Veterinarian Dr. Jean Hofve, and he’s been employing them for over a decade.

Spirit Essences are not essential oils.  They are holistic remedies, and the only veterinarian-formulated line of its kind in the world.  Jackson has developed and refined the remedies based on his over 15 years of experience and the needs of his clients.  They have been extremely successful, even in very difficult situations.  For more info, check out the holistic remedy section of store.jacksongalaxy.com

Lucy - the former attack cat who put John in the hospital

Lucy – lashing out at her fellow house cat and guardians

Issue: Poor Sara and John were both being attacked by Lucy, Sara's cat of 7 years.  After the couple moved in together, they became a two-cat household with John's cat of 10 years, Kylie.  And yes, Kylie also became Lucy's prey after the move-in.  With Sara 6 months pregnant, it was high time to solve the case of the attacking Lucy.  They knew this was a dangerous place to raise an infant, and with one attack putting John in the hospital because of an infection, it really brought that point home.  So along with homework like daily play therapy, supervised visits between Lucy & Kylie, and installing cat shelves on the walls, the following holistic remedies were put to use to help support the positive changes.

Jackson says: I actually used a combination of Skin Soother and Obsession Remedy for Lucy because of the feline hyperesthesia syndrome.  (See the In-Depth Mojo post on this episode for more info.)  And for Kylie, obviously it was Self Esteem and a healthy dose of Stress Stopper.

Chubs - antagonized his blind house mate

Issue: Chubs was a 3-year old Maine Coon who would wait to pounce on the newest addition to the household, Cole, who lost his eyesight soon after birth due to severe infection.  There were a lot of behavior modification and environmental changes Jackson asked their guardians to make.  Things like installing cat shelves, de-cluttering the living space, and training Chubs to walk outside in a kitty harness.  But to help ease any tensions between the two cats while all this happened, he also recommended one of the best-selling holistic remedy sets that Spirit Essences carries.

Jackson says: We used Ultimate Peacemaker for those guys - that's it.
