Jackson’s #MonthlyMojo Shelter this November is Good Mews of Marietta, Georgia — The Peach State
Good Mews is one of the few virtually cage-free, no-kill cat shelters in the state of Georgia. They've served the Metro-Atlanta area since 1988.
Here's what #TeamCatMojo has in store to support Good Mews this month!
1. Jackson’s Pick
Georgia has one of the highest homeless cat populations in the country. Warm weather creates a virtual year-round breeding season for stray cats. Cats kept in cages often become depressed and sick, creating an unhealthy environment where it's virtually impossible for them to get adopted.
A cage-free environment, on the other hand, allows the cats to act upon their natural tendencies to explore, socialize, and live in an environment similar to home, with lots of stimulation and human attention. Cats who live at Good Mews -- a virtually cage-free shelter -- require basic medical care before they can be adopted.
You can donate here and choose for your contribution to go towards a Parasite Test, Blood Work & Urinanlysis, Vaccines, and more.
Keep the little piggies warm during the cold weather. And, these slippers will warm your heart as well! Because $5 from each pair goes to help the cats-in-need in the Metro-Atlanta area, through the work of Good Mews. Get a pair for yourself or for a friend.
Each Sunday in November, we'll post a heart-warming success story from Good Mews. Do a quick check-in here every Sunday to start your week off with a quick minute of good news from Good Mews.
Good Mews is an exciting organization with innovative programs, like
- Golden Companions: an adoption program for senior citizens wanting to adopt a senior kitty
- HALO (Home At Last): a program that helps pay for medical expenses related to special needs cats, even after he or she is adopted
#TeamCatMojo is honored to be a part of supporting Good Mews as Jackson’s #MonthlyMojo this November!
