Handsome senior Bud is looking for love. This 11-year-old tuxedo cat is always dressed to the nines, even when dealing with tough times. And he's certainly had his share of tough times. Bud lost his home at a time when he was suffering from health problems, including asthma and diabetes. He had to have his teeth pulled. He is very patient with his treatment, but diabetes is hard to control at a shelter, and Bud has to live in the special needs room at Good Mews, our #MonthlyMojo shelter for November.
In spite of his difficulties, Bud has attracted plenty of attention from the ladies during his time at Good Mews. His lady love is Bellona, a striking long-haired tabby who adores him. Bellona lives outside the special needs room, and spends lots of time at the door cooing at Bud. When someone opens the door, watch out! It's snuggle time!
Bud is part of the Good Mews "Home At Last" program, which continues to pay for ongoing medical treatment even after these special needs cats find forever homes. This unique program has helped place many special needs cats. With time and a little luck, we hope Bud and Bellona find a forever home - together.
