Jackson's first #MonthlyMojo Shelter of 2015 is Halfway Home Rescue of New Haven County, Connecticut -- The Nutmeg State
Halfway Home Rescue is a very small group of volunteers dedicated to making a difference. They operate 100% on private donations, saving the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals.
Here's what's happening with Halfway Home Rescue & #TeamCatMojo this January.
1. Jackson’s Pick
The animals arriving at Halfway Home Rescue have suffered lives of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Fortunately for them, the 100% volunteer force does as much as they can to save as many animals as possible.
This is great because every cent counts. Funds directly help the animals in need.
All of the rescues are examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV (cats) and Heartworm/Lyme (dogs), and are up to date with vaccinations. Each is treated for fleas, worms, and ear mites as needed.
You can support their mojo-rific work here.
OK folks, this is a blanket. And a cuddly stuffed-animal type toy. And a donation to Halfway Home Rescue.
You can't lose!
Each sale sends $5 to Halfway Home Rescue, providing a safe haven for abandoned animals in need, until their forever home can be found.
Nuff said, right #TeamCatMojo?
Right. Blankets are available here.
It's a New Year with a new chance to tell great stories about how #TeamCatMojo is saving and changing lives for the better.
Check back here every Sunday for a new success story from Halfway Home Rescue. Just look for the story titled "#ShelterSunday." It's a quick way to put a smile on your face :)
Halfway Home Rescue's primary focus has been on cats, but in the last few years they've been able to branch out and rescue dozens of dogs, small animals, and even several horses!
Congratulations and welcome to Halfway Home Rescue -- Jackson's #MonthlyMojo for January.
