#MonthlyMojo: H.A.R.T

DecemberSlider

The Jackson Galaxy #MonthlyMojo beneficiary for December is H.A.R.T. Homeless Animals Rescue Team of Mesa, Arizona “The Grand Canyon State”

H.A.R.T. has been in existence since May of 2005 and it all started as an effort to help a colony of cats outside an industrial work place in Tempe, AZ.  A litter of four kittens was discovered on the premises and all four adorable kittens were rescued, socialized and placed in loving homes  All of the feral cats at this business were spayed and neutered through Trap, Neuter & Return (TNR), and there have been no more kittens born at this location since.

Fast forward a decade to December 2015, and H.A.R.T. is still going strong.  Every month, volunteers coordinate monthly trap jobs for TNR, feed over 130 free-roaming cats daily, and rescue cats and kittens, preparing them for adoption through the help of other rescue groups.

H.A.R.T. has…

Spayed and neutered over 1,800 cats using TNR

Helped place over 500 cats, kittens and dogs into the care of rescue groups or loving homes

Microchipped over 250 animals to help reunite them with their family if they are ever lost

This month, we’re pleased to announce that H.A.R.T. now has their very own donation page where every single cent goes to help their cause.  Not even credit card processing fees are taken out of your donation.

You can give from $10 to $100 to help pay for spay/neuter surgery, medical testing, or food.  Check it out here.

You may not be able to adopt a rescued kitty or help with TNR but there are other ways to make a difference.  By purchasing this stylish Festival Cats Lightweight Scarf this December, you’ll send $5 to H.A.R.T. which enables them to continue their wonderful work.  The scarf will keep you stylish and warm.  And it’ll also remind you of the special help you’ve been to cats in Arizona.

Get one, and/or one for a friend, here.

3. #ShelterSunday

Each Sunday in December, read how H.A.R.T Homeless Animals Rescue Team works to transition a homeless pet into the comforts of a real "fur-ever" home.  Just check the Jackson Galaxy website for a special story from H.A.R.T. on Sundays to start your week off right.

Congratulations to H.A.R.T. on being the Jackson Galaxy Foundation #MonthlyMojo this December!
