I have a sweet kitty who does not like boxes, paper bags, or crunchy toys. She chewed through the string of our previous wand toy. So far this one is holding up. She pulled it off a chair this morning and pestered me until I played with her. She is a scaredy cat so she does not like the noise if I retract it. She just likes to chase and attack the feathers.

Play with your cat, play with your cat, play with your cat! This toy is sturdier than most. After a few days, kitty recognized the ratcheting sound of the toy and now gets very excited, when she hears it, to come and play. Hunt, catch, kill. Then a meal. Got the raw cat working. She sleeps and eats better. My 15 year old cat behaves like a cat half her age after incorporating regular play with this toy into her day. We experimented with techniques- kitty likes to chase ground prey, so dragging it around the house is right for her. But she'll also make some attempts to catch the "bird " when we use it in the air. Just a wonderful toy and stands up to being "killed ".

My cat goes crazy for this toy. This is the third one as he loves to chew on the string and break it when I’m not paying attention. Third time’s a charm-so he better not break it! If he does, he’ll get another one since it helps him be active.

we have multiple wand toys, but this brings out the primal hunter gymnast in all three of our cats (ages 1 1/2, 5, and 8)

My cats love this toy, but I’ve probably purchased at least 5 wands and each one has broken somehow.
