JACKSON'S STORY

 HOW DID A MUSICIAN   BECOME A CAT EXPERT? 

While working at an animal shelter in 1992 - I was also going through a very dark period. I had alienated everybody I knew, including family, and had lost everything.  I had no faith in anything - I overdosed three separate times.  One day I saw a woman dump a cat in front of the shelter. He’d gotten hit by a car and his pelvis was broken.  She said he was an ‘unbondable’ cat. When she used that word I realized: that’s me.  


This cat saved me. He kept me alive, as I learned how to understand him I learned how to understand myself.  I found my calling - to help the world understand cats, and save as many as I could.  After ten years working at the shelter, in 2002 I started a feline consulting business in Boulder, then moved to LA where someone asked if I'd like to share with the world how to understand and bond with cats, hosting MY CAT FROM HELL.  


Now 30 years of working with tens of thousands of cats, I've written several books to make the act of bonding with your cat as simple as possible. Thank you for loving cats like I do!
